It's horrendous when people move abandoning their animals. It's gut-wrenchingly appaling when they have intentionally starved and beat a dog and then tied her to a post leaving her to die. Emaciated, weak, with deep pressure sores on her hips, Sybil had been left in this position for days before a neighbor heard a barely-audible whimper and investigated. Sybil is now safe with us. She'll never again experience this horror. Update three months after arriving at our facility: Sybil has gained multi-pounds, is now full-weight, her self-esteem has blossomed; she is a joy. Sybil must be an only dog. Sybil is a courtesy listing for Friends for Pets in Sun Valley (Los Angeles area).
