Ringo
Ringo was a favorite among our volunteers. This boy was such a big goof. He loved playing with water and chasing balls. Never a dull moment with Ringo. A beautiful dog with a headstrong personality. Even though he came to us after his drug dealing owner went to jail, Ringo showed no signs of resentment towards people. It was obvious he didn't know what the human touch was, but his foster Mommy was patient and worked on that. She showed him that cuddling felt good and that ear rubs were just to die for. She worked on his social skills and taught him some obedience commands. Although still a little rough around the edges, Ringo was blossoming into a great dog.

He was soon adopted by a special guy that saw Ringo's good qualities right away. It was love at first sight. They were inseparable. After Ringo settled into his new home and bonded with his owner, he began showing signs of jealousy towards anyone that took his attention away from his person. Ringo did not know how to bond and saw everyone as a threat. He later became aggressive towards his owner when a girlfriend came into the picture. Ringo was now a 100 lb. unstable dog with unpredictable tendencies towards aggression. A dangerous combo. After making the heart-breaking decision, Ringo was laid to rest by his new Daddy and his foster Mommy. He had his last breath in his tearful foster Mommy's arms after giving her the unforgetable look as if to say "I'm sorry". Once again, there is no one to blame but the drug dealer that neglected Ringo and did not spend the time socializing him. Ringo will always be in our hearts. Such a special boy that deserved more than this.
