Operation K9 Rescue Memorials
Lloyd
Lloyd came in as a stray in the South San Diego shelter. He was skin and bones. He settled in so quickly. He was such a happy boy and loved attention. We had to keep his tailwrapped because he wagged it so hard that he kept bloodying it on the walls. He went to live with Tia and her family at Villalobos Rescue. Even though he proved himself to be one tough cookie, he was very loved and spoiled rotten. He suddenly got sick with an intestinal blockage. He was rushed into surgery but didn't survive. He is sadly missed by everyone.
Remember me always, but do not grieve for me too long. I have tried always to comfort you in times of sorrow, and have made every effort to add joy to your life. I never wanted to cause you pain.
Peace for me is certain now, and I suspect I will have eternal sleep in the earth I have loved so well.
Please, after your period of grieving for me, make room in your heart for another. You are the kind of human being that should always have a friend like me to love. Your kind and gentle heart should not be wasted on my memory for too long. Give your love to another. I know your new friend will never take my place, because we had something very special.
You loved me very much and I loved you.
My spirit will always be with you, and no matter how deep my sleep,
my grateful heart will always be thinking of you.

Honoring our Rescues that are waiting at the edge of Rainbow Bridge for us.
Please spend some time here with our memories of our recues who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Each name will take you to a memorial page devoted to that dog with pictures, and a tribute to the way they touched our lives.
