This sweetheart has been around the block a few times. When Herbie came into rescue, his face & front legs were all chopped up with fresh wounds. Most have healed, but some are still a little new. After all this boy has been through, he shows no distrust of people. He's a wonderful dog, full of life & wanting to experience it all! Loves people & wants nothing more than to be your loyal K9 companion. He'll give you kisses all night long if you let him. And he LOVES playing with his toys. Herbie is getting a fresh start, putting his past behind him. Now he needs a family that will show him what it's like to be treated as a family member. We recommend an adults only home or a home with older children. He's doing great in obedience class, is well behaved, knows "sit", "heel" and "down" commands. Although he doesn't like other dogs, he's good on leash during class. Out of state adoptions considered if within driving distance.
